The current network, which dates from 2016, is outdated and will no longer be supported in the future.
The new Wi-Fi setup will be based on one access point per unit (installed above the front door), allowing:
- Better coverage
- A private network for each unit
- Increased stability, without interference or roaming charges
The installation requires running new wiring to connect the terminal that will be installed in each unit (installed above the entrance door).
Based on the bids received, the estimated monthly rate would be approximately $32.95, compared to $31.95 currently.
The speed should be around 50 Mbps
This amount does not include the installation of the infrastructure (cabling between the telecom room and the private areas), which will be the responsibility of the owner (amount to be determined).
What is the impact if I don’t want to join Wi-Fi now?
The wiring will still need to be replaced. A later installation will result in higher costs for the co-owner. It is therefore strongly recommended that you install the wiring even if you do not want the service now.
